Recommended Sport Romance that beats its predecessor in entertainment.

Country Boy by A.E. Wasp
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've enjoyed the hell out of this book. It's kinda a second chance romance, mixed with some enemies to lovers, and those two things make this book  a better read than it's predecessor, City Boy. Or at least, for me, it is a more appealing and enjoyable story even if I wanted the "enemies" part to be longer.

Country Boy is a good sport romance that tells us the story between Robbie Rhodes (we met him in book one) and Paul Dyson, a southern hockey player whose drawl drove Robbie (and I) crazy.
Seriously, what's the matter with me and southern accents? I'm a junkie. It's hear it and I enter a lust-induced haze that is difficult to leave.

So our MCs  spent a night together two years ago, before they went pro (we live it through a very well executed flashback) and now they are in the same Hockey team having to deal with each other after an ugly confrontation (also told in that flashback)

Robbie is a sweetheart…

An epilogue you can´t miss. Fantastic addition to the Signs of Love Series.

Sweet, cute, hot and funny.

This epilogue is pure Anyta and I loved it. I didn't know I needed it till I read it, but what a great sensation that these extra pages left in me. I felt warm. Happy.

A sweet book with two cute characters trying to find home.

City Boy by A.E. Wasp
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sexy read about self discovering and love. A sweet sport romance with no sport in it (Bryce is a Hockey player recovering from an injury so no play time for him) but with a lot of cute-hot moments.

I don't know why but when the setting in a book is Colorado I go crazy and very invested just because.
I could blame Kristen Ashley's books or the fact that just imagine the Rocky Mountain made me nostalgic... a nonsense since I am from Spain and even if a traveler, the nearest I've been from this mountain has been Denver and for a couple of hours so... the longing is a craziness of mine.

"At least I picked a gorgeous place to have a crisis. And a gorgeous guy to have it with"

You're probably asking yourself why this tedious intro... Well, just to say the first time these two met was on the road, with the Rocky Mountain as background, in the middle of a funny situation, with an also funny dialogue, and amusing thoughts. …

The begining of a hot, pure-action new series! these guys rocks!

In the Wreckage by Hailey Turner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an awesome read! What a great recommendation! How can a book be so entertaining, suspenseful and dirty at the same time? This is a good one. Believe me. It has everything you want in a Science Fiction book, with the add of some of the dirtiest sex scenes I've ever read. Yes. Everything.

This is a perfectly written MM Romance. A Sci-Fi novel that takes place on an alternative and very fascinating year 2284.
The world building is fantastic but I don't want to reveal too much, just that something happened that turned some humans in metahumans with different powers: telepathy, telekinesis, shape shifting, ultra strength...

Science fiction fans (myself included) are used to ordinary men becoming  superheroes because of radioactive accidents, chemical, or nuclear physics related. We have read about  that kind of DNA alteration, wherever it comes, but here the explanation is brilliantly exposed. It's very, very interesti…

Guest post: my lovely friend Dani gives us her thougths about Jay Northcote´s new book.

The Half Wolf by Jay Northcote
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jay releasing a shifter book? Yes, yes, yes, please!

Mate, bond, bite, mine, pack. All my favorite words when paranormal is concerned and let me tell you that Jay nailed it with this new installment because The Half Wolf was really entertaining, fast-paced and easy to read.

Well, I was very surprised when I saw that Jay was going to publish a shifter story. He popped my m/m romance cherry with the Housemates series, so I knew he wouldn’t disappoint me. Let’s get real, Jay is an amazing writer.

Jay doesn’t set the story in a specific time, but what he did with the world building was absolutely stunning! Quinn is 20 years old, he lives in a small town and he’s obsessed with shifters. Apparently, there was a conflict long before he was born between shifter and humans and now they live in a delicate truce. Because of this, he has never seen one of them up close, so when he hears that a nomadic shifter pack is in town, he wastes no t…

Jay Northcote enters the shifters territory in a sweet metaphoric journey!

The Half Wolf by Jay Northcote
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 meaningful stars

Beautiful in its simplicity and metaphorically significant , this story takes place in a world where shifters are non-fiction, and be different is, as usual, a challenge.

Jay Northcote tells us the story of Quinn and Kellan, a story of a presumably forbidden love between a wolf and his mate. A story of friendship, family and love. A story about changes. About acceptance.

Kellan comes to Quinn's town with his pack and when they arrive, some dead animals are found and the locals blame the wolves.
Of course they have to blame the ones who are not like them. Prejudice and mistrust play their part while we witness a cute and sexy love story develops.

This is also the story of an awakening. The beginning of a new and different life. The start in the complicated journey that knowing yourself can be. And this is a beautiful awakening with two cute and lovable characters.

I liked both MCs, Kellan and Quinn. They re…

A lot of people love this book so I’m the weird one here. Try it to choose your side!

Axios: A Spartan Tale by Jaclyn Osborn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

2.5 rounded up to 43stars.

Initially this was gonna be a 4 stars rating. I loved the beginning of this tale. Then, at some point in the middle, I changed my mind and I was sure I was giving it 2 stars. But the last 20% of this tragic story made me change my mind again and rounded it up to 3.Because the book is good, It's just me who is weird and find some things boring, or long, or whatever. I'm sure, any other reader is gonna savour every single page of this gorgeous friendship and love story.

"I do not fear death because I'm afraid of dying, Ery... I  fear it because it would take me from you"

First of all: The MCs deserve 4 stars, and their interactions and conversations too
The side characters that turn tragedy and brutality in something entertaining and worthy to smile deserves all the stars too.
The narration is great and the way this tale is told very, very appealing.

The intensity and passion and…

Book 2 in the Kings of Hell MC: Twisted, funny, spooky and lovely. What a myriad of feelings the Merikans gave me!

My Dark Knight by K.A. Merikan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 Stars

This is a spooky love story. A book about needs, ghosts, evilness and revenge where the realm of the living and the death coexist and mess with each other.

This second installment in the Kings of Hell series tells us the story of Knight *sighs* and Elliot, The Count, his nemesis, a crazy fan of a murderer who is not just Knight´s enemy, but also the club's,and especially Laurent's.

This is a complicated and dark story. A bizarre and amazing enemies to lovers that wins all the sinister awards but also, stands out in other categories:

Plot: entertaining story perfectly driven by two unique and complex characters.

The cast in general is brilliant and it is good, so good, to see Laurent and Beast again and their fantastic relationship.

Love story development: they fight each other, Knight fights his feelings, Elliot fights against an unfair world, and in the craziness that their lives are, you can perceive the evolution…

Good read and, to me, better than its predecessor. Very recommended for Witt´s fans

Pounding Skin by L.A. Witt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

Even if this is book 2 in the Skin Deep Inc. series it could be read as standalone. In fact, if I had read this book before book one, I probably would have enjoy more Colin and Daniel's story. Here we can testify, as the missed epilogue in Back Piece, that they are still happy and totally in love.

Here, in Pounding Skin, a tattoo artist (Matt Huffman) and a USA Navy pilot (Jon Russell) cross paces in Skin Deep Inc. and they are instantly attracted to each other. The problem? One of them is a manwhore allergic to serious relationships and the other, our tattooed hero, doesn't know even if he is straight, bi or gay

"To bi? Or not to bi?"

"Yep. Turns out that I am bi. Because effing hell, I want to taste that man"

Matt, is hot. I know it's not the deepest thing to say as a character's introduction, but he is and I felt really attracted to him. He is pure contradiction. He has a …

My first dark read by K.A Merikan: a gem! (Book one in their new series, Kings of Hell)

Laurent and the Beast by K.A. Merikan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A twisted fantasy tale.

This is the story of two worlds colliding. Future and past. 1805 and 2017 converging for just one reason: the constant human need to be more, to be better, to be what we are not. Two timelines joining together two different, but lovable guys. A sweet love story flooded by dark magic. And yes, you've read right, to me it was sweet. Very.
A novel that tells us about human evilness and ambition. A dark tale about our particular beauty and the beast.

"The path to Paradise begins in Hell"

The beauty is Laurent, a naïve servant from 1805 who travels to the future under magical and scary circumstances to meet Beast, our tough biker from 2017. A burned and injured man who is better, much better that it seems.

I've been reading time travel novels since I can remember. I also watch any aceptable sci-fi movie time-travel related, so the premise of this book was my cuppa just for that.

Anyta Sunday´s new work: Sexy and Cute (Signs of Love#2)
