Put some Anyta Sunday in your life. You won’t regret it!

DJ Dangerfield by Anyta Sunday
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 shinny stars

A cutie. A super sweet NA short featuring two lovely guys who will make you smile and sight. Totally Anyta Sunday’s style and very in the line of Noticed Me Yet?, another short that I loved.
I need this kind of stories in my life, they drive me to that happy place where everything shines and makes you smile. Where you forgot your problems for a while, putting what is bothering you in a drawer, for later, just wanting to live your book’s life. In this case, DJ Dangerfield and Justin’s love story. Their kindness and cuteness. Two college guys meeting each other through a radio program. Their sleepless nights, their troubles, turmoiling feelings and thoughts and all of this packed in no more than 65 pages. This is a super feel good read, so nice and sexy that I can’t recommend it highly enough.

You can find it as a stand-alone or in Briefs: Collection (a collection of shorts by Anyta Sunday). Read it and put a smile in…

I can’t wait to know more about Seth Villani and Domenico Acerbi. What a great and sexy job my beloved Merikans have done.

Guns n' Boys: He Is Mine by K.A. Merikan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars

Tender and soul baring beginning, with a lot of sexy and funny times in the middle and a thrilling last third

When you are up for a sexy read but end up in love with the story and the characters is when you know for sure, your hookup has become a long term boyfriend. Because I was expecting a wild ride in a dark night and out of nowhere I got myself engaged, with a big stone in my finger looking around and asking myself what the hell had happened to me and my casual fling.
Yes, I was in for some filth (some is an understatement), a lot of laughs (I got those. I always laugh with these duo even in the darkest moments or probably because of them) and dirty mouthed boys doing obscenities (oh, the dirty deeds... *blushing* dirty they were)and I was more than ready for that, I signed for that, but here I got much more of what I signed for. Romanticism, tenderness, two rough guys opening up to each other, two…

Alessandra Hazard surfs the sci-fi waters quite good and leaves me wanting a lot more of her secondaries. Book #2 now! Please!

That Alien Feeling by Alessandra Hazard
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars.

A cute and light read.

I liked it but I NEED book two ASAP. That’s what eclipsed my reading. I wanted more of Seyn and Ksar till the point I wished the couple to be on page all the time. When the secondary characters shadow the MCs I tend to feel a bit disappointed and that’s why I’m rounding down to 3 stars. Which is not bad at all. It means I truly enjoyed the book and I also found the story refreshing and interesting. Mostly cute, I guess that’s the best adjective to describe That Alien Feeling.

I’m a declared fan of Alessandra Hazard and her OTT protagonists. Here, she creates (again) a clingy, needy, character and a sexy but unhealthy relationship but this time under the sci-fi prism, that dependence and unhealthiness fits brilliantly and makes perfect sense.

So, we have Harry the Calluvian, the beautiful and weird guy with the violet eyes.

A sweet, naive and super kind 18 years old who is experiencing a new…

Fifth installment in the Accidental Roots Series: Simone’s honest thoughts about the depth of the characters and their Insta-love.

River Home by Elle Keaton
Simone’s rating: 4 of 5 stars

... and HOME should be your safe place. A happy place. A place where you have your moral support system in form of family and friends, of people who love you. A retreat that keeps you grounded.

Miguel Ramirez never had a home. Well, not a real one. Growing up in foster care after his mother dumped him at a department store and due to a fault of the system never being cleared to be adopted, this wild kid circulated through various families who didn't care. Due to his mixed heritage, he always felt torn between two worlds neither of which accepted him and his only attempt at finding a place where he belonged ended up in an abusive relationship with a manipulative cop who used his position to ruin his life. To say his faith in the system would be shaken after that, would be quite the understatement and that's just putting it mildly.

After being on an apparently endless run with no end in sight, his drifting …

First Installment in the Merikan’s GUNS N’ BOYS series with a character that is gonna be the death of me. Aiiisss, Domenico Acerbi...

Guns n' Boys: He Is Poison by K.A. Merikan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Great dark humor entwined with super delicious dirty sex and a handful of surreal situations.

Acerbi&Villani or the fable of the panther and the fawn. Or was it a ferocious lion and a little lamb? Well, I’m not sure about how enunciate it, but what I know for certain is that Dom is an animal. A beautiful and dangerous one. Elegant in his appearance, he’s strong, scary, kinda insensitive at first sight and a powerful magnet. To Seth and to me. Both. He’s a charismatic character and his weight is so heavy you can’t avoid him. If he is in your way, prepare yourself to get caught.

On the other hand we have bratty and apparently mafia useless, Seth. Is he really a sheep? at the beginning I asked myself that question countless times because I was sure he was a wolf perfectly disguised. But nope, I was wrong, he was that naive, he wasn’t wearing a costume, his whinny skin was just that: simply clueless. And when I acce…

Time travel mixed with some good stuff but lacking of something I need. A must anyway if you want to keep going with Season #8

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Time of Your Life by Joss Whedon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

2.5 stars actually. But I’m rounding up because even if disappointing, it wasn’t bad. Not near. But I’m so excited reading this series that I was expecting bright fireworks and I got an amateur bonfire with little sparks here and there.

The ironic thing of all this it’s that this volume is about one of my favorite things ever: time travel and some things are super interesting. BUT it felt rushed and for that reason it wasn’t enough, I needed more because something was missing and the essence of Buffy was pretty lost. Good setting, appealing approach but sadly, not up to my expectations.

They touch a lot of things and trying to explain everything is difficult. If you have that many plots or factions open you can’t keep adding more fuel to the fire because it makes the whole thing confusing and unnerving. I need some explanation about what I’ve just read. Don’t leave me hanging this way please, tell me why…

When a friend you trust write a review like this about a book you want to read, you can only wait and sigh. Metahuman Files #3.5. A novella.

Out of the Ashes by Hailey Turner Simone´s rating: 5 of 5 stars

Everything took time, after all, and surviving was a journey. It always would be. THIS WAS BETTER THAN ANY THERAPY!!! After everything a certain someone *side-eyes the author* made Alexei and Sean go through in In the Blood, both, the guys and us readers - okay, at least I - needed quite some time to recover. Even if some tender approaches have already been made at the end of the previous book, it was pretty obvious that Alexei and Sean in particular would have to go a long way to feel safe in their own skin and find their connection, the safety in their relationship again. Trauma has a deep impact on the soul and overcoming guilt, doubts and one's own insecurities is something Sean has apparently more of a hard time to come to terms with than Alexei.
Knowing what he wanted to do was easy. Actually doing it, well... his head kept getting in the way of his heart. He knew his insecurities were what was holding them both…

Second Installment in The Underdogs series and I loved it. Heavy in the BDSM and full of feelings

Just Here for the Pain by K.A. Merikan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Always deeper than you are expecting when you read their blurbs. Always pure entertainment merged with meaning.
And that’s the hook these ladies hold on me: the mix between edgy, tender and depth. I love how they build their characters and plots. Be part of it, it is always a pleasure and this story was not different. I loved Manic Pixie Dream Boy but Just Here for the Pain filled me much more in other ways. Because it’s more profound, maybe? More intense undoubtedly and I’d dare to say more romantic too although it contains long sex scenes kinda brutal for an amateur not fan of bdsm, like me.

What is this one about?

7 years ago, Sid and Asher had a weekend hookup that ended up with Ash totally obsessed after The Underdogs drummer. They were 18 and 20 by then and as the cherry on top, it was Ash’s first time. Now, after years of Sid ignoring Asher’s stalker ass, they agree to share a pain-with-sex or viceversa experience tha…
